The report covered the research and breakthroughs of Chinese archaeologists on ancient civilizations – such as the Yuezhi and Kushan civilizations – and expressed great interest in the practice and experience of Chinese cultural heritage protection, especially the protection of large ruins.
Since 2009, the Northwest University Central Asia Archaeological Team led by Wang has worked with archaeologists from Uzbekistan to unearth a raft of important new archaeological finds, and has made important breakthroughs and progress in the field of Silk Road archaeological research.
